Catch ItNational Campaigns:

Catch it, Kill it, Bin it

This campaign is part of the pre-pandemic flu planning. The messages show that correct hygiene practice will have a major role in slowing the spread of pandemic flu. The campaign has been developed following research, which found that the general public do not understand the impact of simple measures, such as correct use of tissues and washing of hands.

Keep Warm, Keep Well

Keep Warm Keep Well is a national campaign to reduce cold-related illnesses and deaths during winter. The campaign focuses on those at risk of fuel poverty, particularly those who are financially disadvantaged over-60s, people on disability benefits and their carers, and low income families. The campaign aims to:

  • encourage behaviour change around keeping warm and healthy in winter (eg, healthier eating and measures to keep homes warm)
  • promote the health benefits of keeping warm in winter
  • encourage take-up of grants and benefits that people may be entitled to by providing information on how/where to apply

Posters are available to order from the Health First Resource Distribution Centre.

Condom, Essential wearCondom, Essential Wear

This campaign is aimed at sexual risk takers aged 18-24. The campaign was developed after extensive research with the target group discovered that while many young people have a pair of 'pulling pants' that they wear on a night out, many do not carry a condom. This campaign aims to encourage young people to carry a condom with them, and use it to protect against STIs. For more information about the campaign visit www.condomessentialwear.co.uk. To find out what materials we have in stock to support the campaign, download a resource catalogue from our Learning Centre.

RU Thinking?

This focuses on sexually inquisitive young people aged under 16 years old. The campaign aims to separate myths from fact, and answer young peoples questions about safe sex. The campaign website contains lots of information, including games, information about confidentiality, local services and much more. Visit www.ruthinking.co.uk. find out what materials we have in stock to support the campaign, download a resource catalogue from our Learning Centre.
